Community Easter Blessings

In the spirit of collaboration and to continue to highlight the importance of service to others, Girls Growing Gracefully partnered with another non profit organization, L and M Valentine Foundation, to assemble snack bags for the after school program at the Drake House. The Drake House is a non profit organization that provides housing and enrichment programs for women and children experiencing homelessness. This year moms and sons joined the moms and daughters and we worked collectively to paint and assemble the snack bags.

This amazing opportunity provided a place to practice teamwork in the kitchen while moms engaged and connected with their daughter to make a tasty treat! Participants received a baking gift and a portion of the ticket price was donated to the Drake House, a non profit organization that provides housing for women and children experiencing homelessness.

Christmas Give Back

December 12, 2020
The holiday season for most is a fun festive time that provides an opportunity to celebrate and connect with family and friends. However, for some, especially those struggling financially or those who are healing from loss, it can be a stressful and challenging time. Due to the pandemic, the 2020 holiday season was even more difficult. Girls Growing Gracefully therefore decided to spread a little holiday cheer by donating canned goods and art supplies to the Drake House, a non profit organization that provides housing and enrichment programs for women and children experiencing homelessness. A group of moms and daughters gathered to assemble the gift boxes, the daughters created personalized cards for the children and the mothers crafted encouraging messages for the moms. It was a great way to intentionally connect, give back, and teach the girls how to be good stewards by serving others.
